Stress and burnout are a leadings cause of employee absenteeism and turnover and, if left unchecked, can have significant impact on individuals, teams and organizations. To effectively cope with mental health issues, organizations need to understand the risks and be proactive about strategies to ensure a psychologically safe workplace.

A psychologically safe workplace is one that permits no harm to employee mental health in negligent, reckless or intentional ways.
